2016 CHINA PRODUCTS (COLOMBO, SRI LANKA) EXHIBITION SHOW REPORT- EXHIBITOR PROFILE

According to statistics, over 100 companies from Guangdong, Fujian, Chongqing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong and Shanxi provinces participated in the exhibition, the majority of which were from Guangdong and Fujian. The exhibits included machinery (electromechanical/industrial/agricultural/food), home appliances & lighting, building material & hardware, household articles (decoration/kitchen/bags & suitcases/shoes & clothes), toys and food (tea), etc.

Geographical Distribution of Exhibitors

Many exhibitors received good news during the exhibition. They were busy talking with professional buyers each day. Some even met with about 50 trade buyers in the three days. They reported to the exhibition organizer that the meetings were fruitful. Most of the exhibitors got to know not a few local buyers. Some were invited to visit local buyers’ companies. The schedule was full each day after the exhibition. Exhibitors in home appliance category received the most customers, which were followed by consumer goods exhibitors. They expressed that they would continue to keep in touch with the buyers after going back home and expect to develop long-term cooperation relations with them.

It’s a happy thing that not a few buyers placed order or expressed explicit intention for cooperation after knowing products and discussing details. Several exhibitors received orders at the first day of the exhibition. One exhibitor from Shantou reached purchase agreement with the biggest local home appliance trader. One stainless steel kitchenware exhibitor received an order of one container in the second day, as well as several pending orders. There were still many others that had signed contract of intention with local buyers.

According to preliminary statistics, 90% of exhibitors were satisfied with the quality of the buyers. Most of the exhibitors achieved good results. About of 93% of the exhibitors were satisfied with the services provided by the organizer. After the exhibition, over half of the exhibitors expressed the willingness to participate in the next edition. Especially in machinery category, about 60% of the exhibitors had the intention to join the next edition, and 30% explicitly expressed that they would participate in the next edition. In household articles & home appliance, and lighting categories, 40% and 60% of the exhibitors were willing to participate in the next edition respectively. Exhibitors in chemical, building material and consumer product category also expressed possibility for repeated participation.
